In recent years, in order to fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's requirements for building a China Europe green partnership, the International Economic and Technological Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has established the "China Europe (Changzhou) Green Innovation Park" in the Wujin Green Building Zone. Since its establishment in October 2020, China Europe Park has been committed to promoting in-depth cooperation between China and Europe in industries with enormous development potential, such as resource recycling, zero carbon technology, clean energy, smart cities, and digitalization of construction and building materials. It has introduced a group of European enterprises represented by MEZOLEN, injecting strong impetus into accelerating high-quality development of the park.

On June 26th, the unveiling ceremony of the Spain Investment Center of the China Europe (Changzhou) Green Innovation Park was successfully held in the Green Building Zone. Luis Calvo, Consul General of the Consulate General of Spain in Shanghai, Xu Ning, Vice Chairman of the District Political Consultative Conference, Secretary of the Green Building District Party Working Committee, and Director of the Management Committee, Zhang Yu, Director of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, leaders of relevant departments of the city and district, as well as leaders of the Green Building District, participated in the event.

       Xu Ning, Vice Chairman of the Wujin District Political Consultative Conference, pointed out in his speech that:

In today's world, the sustainable development concept of "green, environmental protection, and ecology" has become a global consensus. As an important European economy, Spain has world leading technology and experience in intelligent equipment, green buildings, renewable energy, and other fields. We look forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the park and Spain in the fields of green energy conservation and environmental protection through the Spanish Investment Center. At present, there are more than 60 Spanish companies in Changzhou, which have close cooperation with Changzhou in science and technology, economy, and other aspects.

The unveiling and establishment of the China Europe Park Spain Investment Promotion Center is an important step in the cooperation strategy of China Europe Park in Europe, and will undoubtedly become a bridge and link for green industry cooperation between Changzhou and Spain. Here, I hope to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Spain in the fields of green energy conservation and environmental protection through this platform. I also look forward to the joint development of new technologies and products by enterprises from both sides, creating a green industry chain with international competitiveness, and jointly promoting the prosperous development of China Europe green industry.

In his speech, the Consul General of Spain in Shanghai pointed out that:

Changzhou has received a total of 62 Spanish companies and over 400 exporters have chosen Spain as their destination for goods and services, which proves that our economic and trade relationship undoubtedly has vitality and a bright future. Therefore, the Secretary of the Changzhou Municipal Party Committee led a trade delegation to Spain in May this year to expand and deepen the already fruitful close ties. 

I hope these efforts will soon translate into new investments and higher prospects for economic cooperation between our two countries. The Consulate General of Spain will continue to support this cooperation and strive to improve the services provided to Chinese stakeholders in Spain and Spanish stakeholders in China every year.

Zhihui China Europe and Green Innovation Future hope to build a smooth and collaborative bridge through the Spain Investment Center of the China Europe (Changzhou) Green Innovation Park, contributing to the development of both regions and jointly building a fertile ground for business and a highland for development. To gather momentum for deep cooperation and connection between the two places. During the event, the Central European Park Spain Investment Center was unveiled and established.

Yang Di, the head of MEZOLEN Asia Pacific region in Spain and the general manager of Meizhuolun Instrument (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., has been appointed as the Spanish investment ambassador for the China Europe (Changzhou) Green Innovation Park.

As one of the important member states of Europe, Spain's pillar industries include green buildings, intelligent manufacturing of new energy, automotive industry, biomedicine, aerospace, as well as characteristic agriculture and tourism, which have strong competitiveness globally. The key green and low-carbon industries developed by the China Europe (Changzhou) Green Innovation Park, such as resource recycling, zero carbon technology, clean energy, smart cities, and digitalization of buildings and building materials, are highly compatible with key industries in Spain.

Riding on the renewed momentum of China Europe cooperation, the unveiling and establishment of the China Europe Park Spain Investment Promotion Center will undoubtedly become a bridge and link for green industry cooperation between Changzhou and Spain. We hope to take this event as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, education, tourism, etc., and promote the blooming of more brilliant flowers of friendship and fruitful cooperation between the two sides in the future.
