On August 14, the China International Import Expo Bureau (CIIE), the International Cooperation Bureau of the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) jointly hosted the event "Exploring New Frontiers, Advancing Together – CIIE Goes to CNOOC" in Tianjin. This event included thematic exchange forums, supply and demand matchmaking meetings, and on-site visits.
Wu Zhengping, Deputy Director of the CIIE Bureau; Xu Aibo, First-Class Inspector at SASAC’s International Cooperation Bureau; and Wang Jianbo, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice General Manager of CNOOC, attended the thematic exchange forum and delivered speeches. Yan Hongtao, Vice President of CNOOC and Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Tianjin branch, hosted the forum.
Wu Zhengping highlighted that central enterprises are the pioneers of high-level international openness and the "national team" of procurement transactions at the CIIE. He noted their significant contributions to the CIIE’s success and emphasized the importance of the inaugural "CIIE Goes to Central Enterprises" initiative this year. The event aims to implement the spirit of the 20th CPC Central Committee’s Third Plenary Session, amplify the spillover effects of the CIIE, and create new platforms and opportunities for practical economic and trade cooperation between central enterprises and CIIE exhibitors. By strengthening ties between exhibitors and CNOOC, the initiative seeks to accelerate the development of new productive forces and promote high-quality advancements in the offshore oil and gas industry.
This event centered on CNOOC’s goals of advancing the digitalization, intelligence, and sustainability of offshore oil and gas development. It invited 24 exhibitors from the CIIE's technology, equipment, and service trade sectors, including MEZOLEN, which was honored to participate.
Several subsidiaries and divisions of CNOOC, including Tianjin, Zhanjiang, Hainan, Shenzhen, Shanghai, CNOOC International, the Gas and Power Group, China Oilfield Services, and others, attended the matchmaking sessions. During the on-site visits, CNOOC organized trips to the Offshore Oil Industry Exhibition Hall, offering CIIE exhibitors an in-depth understanding of the industry and opportunities to exchange insights.
The MEZOLEN China business team engaged in supply and demand matchmaking with the Engineering and Technology Department of CNOOC and China Oilfield Services. MEZOLEN also showcased its portable ultrasonic flow meters and intelligent instrumentation solutions for applications in petrochemical, LNG, and water treatment sectors.
Looking ahead, MEZOLEN remains committed to deepening its collaboration with CNOOC by delivering high-quality products and services that support the corporation’s high-quality development and contribute to China’s energy security. We also look forward to reuniting at the upcoming 7th CIIE to explore new opportunities for cooperation.
